Is “Orbanism” over?

Whenever “larger” changes happen in the political landscape, I try to find long-form expert interviews and avoid the shorter clips and articles on the topic for a while. After yesterday’s defeat of the fidesz party, I wondered, what might happen next, and found this very interesting interview DW published on YouTube with Kim Lane Scheppele, Professor of International Affairs at Princeton University, on the current state of Hungary and the challenges ahead.

I recommend you watch the whole interview, to learn why the new Hungarian government is basically toothless until it passes constitutional amendments to expel Orban’s influence from the Hungarian “deep state”.
