2026 spring cleaning

From time to time, I feel like removing some notes from this blog. Notes I wrote some time ago and don’t feel like keeping around anymore. Some of them feel out of place, some feel like it was a bad idea to publish them in the first place, but I also dislike dead links. And I feel like one I’ve put something out there, its sort of permanent? It feels like both good practice to clean up every so often, and bad practice to delete blog posts, but since this is my very personal website, I’ve decided to make my own rules. Here they are:

  1. It’s OK to unlist posts. This removes them from the RSS feed and the list of published notes, but the note stays publicly available. If someone clicks a link, they’ll be able to read them.
  2. It’s OK to delete posts, some of the time. Sometimes I read my own writing a year or two later and love it, sometimes I don’t care, but sometimes, I really wish I had never published a note. If I feel like that, I am hereby giving myself permission to delete notes that make me cringe with embarrassment.

And with that, you’ll see some stuff disappear from here 👋
